In Her Footsteps is an 8-session course highlighting the work of Muslim women from the Islamic Golden age. This course includes a list of women at the forefront of philanthropy, jurisprudence, science, astronomy, family, medicine, and community development.
Course Information:
- For girls ages 8-13 years old
- 8-session course, weekly
- Thurs 9/5 - Thurs 10/24
- 5:00 PM - 5:45 PM CST

- Week 2: Zubayda Bint Bu Ja'far Al Mansur (Islamic Empire Queen and philanthropist)
- Week 3: Lubna of Cordoba (Mathematician and Secretary of Royal Library)
- Week 4: Fakhr Un-Nisa ( Scholar of Hadith and Calligrapher)
- Week 5: Sutayta Al-Muhamili (Mathematician and Scholar of Hadith)
- Week 6: Fatimah Bint Al-Aqra (Calligrapher) + Arwa Al-Sulayhi (Ruler of Yemen)
- Week 7: Mariam Al-Ijliya ( Astronomer and Maker of Astrolabes)
- Week 8: Nafisah Bint Al-Hasan (scholar and Philanthropist) + Uns Bint Abdulkarim Al-Nastrawi (Scholar of Hadith)
